Transport to and from School

Your childs safety is paramount.

Parents are encouraged to use Allenby Road/Farmers Road for drop off and pick up if using private transportation. Please ensure you do not restrict access to the driveways of our school neighbours.
DO NOT DRIVE INTO THE SCHOOL GROUNDS for the purposes of dropping off and collecting your child - even if it is raining.

Just under 50% of the students attending Matamata Intermediate travel by bus. A bus assembly is held on the first day to ensure all students know the correct bus to travel on. Please ensure your child knows their full address, including rapid number. Our 3C behaviour is expected of all bus students. In cases of misbehaviour which could be a danger to other bus passengers, or continuous misconduct, students will be prohibited from travelling on a bus.

Bicycles/scooters are brought to school at the student's own risk and are to be kept locked in the bike stands opposite the swimming pool. These areas are strictly out of bounds during the day. It is an expectation & legal requirement that bikes are road worthy & cyclists wear helmets while riding to and from school. Cyclist are encouraged to access the school via the Allenby Road gate, and ride across the field if possible/if coming from the north and east side of town.
